Chubarov subjected the works of the Berlin period to a game of improvisation. He deliberately chose this style, as he had mastered it. He had no intention of transferring his older works to larger canvases. That seemed too banal to him and offensive to his level of expertise. Chubarov understood improvisation in a musical sense.
